Kirrie’s Singin is a dementia inclusive choir, based in the rural Angus town of Kirriemuir and run by the Kirrie Connections dementia support charity. It was formed in September 2018 with weekly sessions facilitated by Christine Kydd, one of Scotland’s foremost touring and recording artistes in the world of Scots folk and traditional song.  In this role as folklorist, song specialist and community facilitator/ choir leader she brings people together to celebrate themselves through an eclectic selection of songs, sometimes singing in parts, sometimes as singalong,  involving everyone in the process and song choices, and  tailored to the needs and interests of the members. Connection, kindness, fun, singing and songs are at the heart of Kirrie’s Singin.

The choir is currently running over Zoom every Friday at 2pm.
